FCYSA offers a variety of free and subsidized training to complement individual team practices.

In addition, there are a number of quality instructors in the local area that offer private and semi-private lessons (contact Bill Cerreta at 357-7522 or bcerreta@fcsoftball.org for more information).

Unless otherwise noted, all clinics will be at Sea Cloud Park.

Pitching Instruction

Free pitching clinic on January 10th for any player interested in learning to pitch. 11:00 – 12:00 or 12:00 – 1:00. Beginners welcome.

Small group pitching clinics with Martha Vargas, starting Saturday, January 24 (total of 4 Saturday session at cost of $40 per pitcher). Sign up with Tanya Spishak at tspishak@yahoo.com or complete the pitching clinic form available Here.

Free pitching clinic with Martha Vargas March 14 and March 21 for 8U pitchers.

* Note that for all pitching instruction sessions, pitcher must bring someone to catch for her.

Team Clinics

Training clinic for all divisions with Jim Liggett, Carlmont High school varsity softball team and coaches. Clinics will be held on February 21 (February 22 rain date) at the following times:

• 6U & 8U 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Sea Cloud, B2
• 10U, 12U, 14U 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Sea Cloud, B2

Catching Clinics

Free catching clinics for catchers in the 10U and 12U divisions. February 28 (10U 9:00 - 10:00 and 12U 10:00 - 11:00).

Coach Clinics

10U/12U Coach clinic January 31 from 10:00 - 12:00 at Sea Cloud B2

ACE training - ASA requirement for all coaches. February 3 at 7:00 at Foster City Recreation Center.

6U and 8U coach clinic on February 7 at Sea Cloud B2. 6U 9:00 - 11:00 and 8U 1:00 - 3:00).

8U and 10U coach pitching clinic on February 28 from 12:00 - 1:00.
