FCYSA will again be sponsoring Fall Ball teams in 2009, that will compete in the Jane Eymer Fast Pitch Softball League. Based on interest, teams will be formed at the 14U, 12U and 10U levels.
 The Jane Eymer League features teams from Foster City, Belmont, Half Moon Bay, Palo Alto, San Bruno, San Carlos and San Mateo. Game day will be determined by a league meeting in August, but typically 14U and 10U play doubleheader games on Sunday and 12U doubleheader games are on Saturdays. Teams will carry large rosters to accommodate girls who may have seasonal conflicts. The season runs early September to mid-November.
In fall ball, girls typically play in the division they will play in the upcoming season. For example, if a girl played in 8U in the spring of 2009, and will be moving up to 10U in spring 2010, she will play on a 10U fall ball team. This provides a great opportunity to hone player skills at a higher level during the “off” season.
The registration fee will depend on the number of players, but the approximate cost will be $75.00. The fee will be collected in August when the exact amount is known.
