FCYSA will again be sponsoring Fall Ball teams in 2008, that will compete in the Jane Eymer Fast Pitch Softball League. This season, teams will be formed at the 12U and 10U levels.

The Jane Eymer League features teams from Foster City, Belmont, Half Moon Bay, Palo Alto, San Bruno, San Carlos and San Mateo. Game day will be determined by a league meeting in August, but typically 14U and 10U play doubleheader games on Sunday and 12U doubleheader games are on Saturdays. Teams will carry large rosters to accommodate girls who may have seasonal conflicts. The season runs early September to mid-November.

In fall ball, girls typically play in the division they will play in the upcoming season. For example, if a girl played in 8U in the spring of 2008, and will be moving up to 10U in spring 2009, she will play on a 10U fall ball team. This provides a great opportunity to hone player skills at a higher level during the “off” season.
