The spring 2008 season represented the sixth year of softball in Foster City. Younger divisions, which in prior years had participated thru FCLL, were incorporated this year into the FCYSA program. For the first time, Foster City offered a single softball program for girls of ages 5 - 14.

This year saw the addition of significant field capacity for the league. With great support from the City of Foster City, Edgewater Park was opened for 14U and 12U play on weekends, including Saturday evening games that became known popularly as “Saturday Night Lights”. Sea Cloud Field B-6 was also opened as a grass diamond this year, providing additional capacity for the 8U division.

The league fielded one team at the 14U level, four teams at each of the 12U and 10U levels, and six teams at each of the 8U and 6U levels.
